The Rift Raids mode will be unlocked after completing "Chapter 4, Encounter 10" and joining an alliance. The goal of the mode is to progress as far as possible in the limited-time window of the event by defeating the Gatekeeper to unlock higher and higher Rift Tiers. To get the most rewards, alliance members will need to work together to earn as many points as possible.
Note: The timer shown on the RIFT RAIDS tab of the ALLIANCE screen will count down the amount of time left for the Rift Event, not the amount of time left for your alliance to participate in the Raids. The remaining time that your alliance has to participate in the Raids will be shown when you view the RIFT RAIDS panel.
As a collaborative and competitive game mode, Rift Raids encourages players to work with their alliance against other alliances to earn better rewards. Each Rift Raid is made up of many tiers. You can advance to the next tier by defeating all of the enemies. Rift Raid tiers will have three different types of encounters: Minion, Sentinel, and Gatekeeper.
Gatekeeper encounters are more difficult than Sentinel encounters, and Sentinel encounters are more difficult than the Minion encounters. Completing the Minion encounters first will help to weaken the Sentinel, and then completing the Sentinel encounters will help to weaken the Gatekeeper.
Once the titanborn Gatekeeper is defeated, your alliance will unlock the next tier. The higher your alliance’s tier at the conclusion of Rift Raids, the more rewards that will be received. Players who participate in Rift Raids can earn greater rewards the more that they contribute to the success of their alliance, too!
Rift Raid Resources
Relics: By equipping your Guardians with relics, you can increase their effectiveness and strength against the enemies in the Rift Raids.
Rift Energy: Rift Energy is used to enter the encounters specifically in the Rift Raids and will not recharge over time. Twelve Rift Energy is granted at the beginning of every Rift Raid; however, more can be obtained with Orbs in the Rift Supplies.
Rift Potions: Rift potions may be equipped to Guardians with matching traits. Compatible Guardians equipped with a Rift potion will have all of their attributes boosted for one encounter. The higher the grade of the potion, the greater its effects will be.
Dungeon Store
Rift Supplies can be claimed at the beginning of the Rift Raid. Once you have claimed your Rift Supplies, a timer will activate. You may claim Rift Supplies once every eight hours. If you do not want to wait for more Rift Supplies, you may use your Orbs to skip the timer. The cost for skipping the timer will depend on how much time is left on the timer. You may only skip the timer three times in 24 hours for every Rift Tier.
The Rift Raids store accepts Orbs for purchases and makes Rift Supplies available individually, too.
You can also view your available Rift Supplies while a Rift Raid is active by tapping on the GUARDIANS icon on the homescreen, then selecting the ITEMS tab on the left side of the ARMORY screen. Rift Energy can be viewed in the RESOURCES panel at any time by tapping on the Energy icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Ranks & Rewards
All alliances that participate in Rift Raids will be given ranks based on their current alliance division, progress, and success in the most recent Rift Raids. Open the RIFT RAIDS RANKING menu by tapping on the RANKINGS button, and then tap on the various icons in a player's row to see their contributions to their alliance's leaderboard placement. Tapping these icons will show the statistics for that player through various pop-ups:
- HIGHEST RIFT TIER: The highest Rift Tier reached during the last raid.
- EFFICIENCY: Rift Points earned per Rift Energy spent.
- DAMAGE: Total damage dealt to Gatekeepers.
- RIFT POINTS: Total amount of Rift Points earned.
Note: Any alliance that is placed in rank X, regardless of the division, is at risk of being demoted into the lower alliance division. In order to be promoted to the next alliance division, an alliance must be in the top-performing alliances for their division. Be sure to keep participating and earning points to advance your alliance into higher Rift Raids ranks!
Rewards will vary depending on the rank and division of your alliance at the event’s conclusion.
