Crystals
These provide a chance to win a random Guardian. Many crystals can be purchased and opened in the store's FEATURED option of the CRYSTALS section. You can find crystals in special event stores, real-money offers, the Alliance store, or as rewards for completing encounters. Crystals that are not purchasable do not have crystal odds.
Some crystals are only available as rewards for a limited amount of time. Crystals you have earned but not opened should appear in the FEATURED option of the CRYSTALS section.
Famed Crystals
These crystals cannot be formed with shards and are only available for a limited time. You can purchase a Guardian’s Famed Crystal for an increased chance of obtaining that Guardian.
Timekeeper Crystals
These are crystals that you can craft without spending any currency. These grant an assortment of rewards, depending on the tier of crystal that you craft, and take different amounts of time to complete.

How Can I Get Crystal Shards?
You use crystal shards to create full crystal versions of their respective types. You can get shards from quests, events, and promotions. Once enough shards are collected, you can redeem them for their respective crystals in the SHARD option of the CRYSTALS section.
You cannot mix and match the shards and can only use them to create their designated crystals.
