Common Concerns with Crystals
“I have opened many crystals, but I am not getting the Guardian I want.”
Opening crystals can provide a chance to win Guardians, but specific Guardians are not guaranteed rewards. The chance you have to obtain a specific Guardian or a Guardian at a specific rarity from a crystal is detailed in the game via its CRYSTAL ODDS pop-up.
Crystal odds tell you the chance you have to receive a specific reward when you open a crystal. The rewards are randomized, which means that while you have a chance to win a Guardian every time you open a crystal and different Guardians have a higher or lower chance of being rewarded, the Guardian you receive is always random.
When we add new Guardians to the game, you have a chance of earning them for a limited time by opening specific Famed Crystals. These crystals offer higher chances of receiving the new Guardian. Over time, we will add these Guardians to other crystals so you will have additional chances to win them.
Some Guardians are more exclusive and are not regularly available in the crystals found in the FEATURED tab in the CRYSTALS section of the store, such as Jack Skellington, and Tron. These Guardians should become more available over time, and we may make announcements about when we have added these Guardians to a crystal pool in the in-game mail, on our Disney Mirrorverse Discord, or our Reddit page.
Which Crystals Display Crystal Odds?
You can see the crystal odds for most crystals found in the FEATURED tab in the CRYSTALS section of the store. When purchasing a crystal, you may tap on the information icon displayed in the FEATURED PRIZES section of the crystal’s description. Crystals odds are not available for crystals earned as rewards from calendars, objectives, or other places in the game.
When you tap on this icon, you will see the crystal odds for the rewards within the crystal. The crystal odds will be displayed as percentages.
The chance to get a specific Guardian is not guaranteed, but there are many ways to get the Guardians you would like:
- Famed Crystals grant a higher chance of dropping the Guardian the crystal is named after.
- Guardians are sometimes available for purchase from the Bazaar, Alliance store, Stardust store, and event stores using the store’s specified currency. Make sure that you check the game for new offers and events!
- Guardians may be rewarded for completing objectives for event or story quests.
“I keep getting the same Guardian.”
A Guardian you receive from a crystal is a random reward, which means that you have a chance to win any Guardian that is available in a particular crystal every time you open one. Different crystals have different crystal odds, and different Guardians have different chances of being rewarded. You may have a higher or lower chance of receiving a specific Guardian or a Guardian at a specific rarity.
Opening multiple crystals does not affect the crystal odds. The rewards you earn from opening a single crystal or multiple crystals at once will be granted appropriately as if they had all been individually opened.
Below is an example of how your chance to win a Guardian is displayed in the game:
When purchasing a Famed Crystal, you can have a higher chance of receiving a featured Guardian. However, you may also have a high chance of receiving another Guardian. For example, Famed Crystals often offer a 1% chance of getting a 5-star featured Guardian and may offer around a 70% chance to receive a 2-star Guardian of any type.
This does not mean that if you buy 100 Famed Crystals, you are guaranteed to receive 70 random 2-star Guardians and one 5-star featured Guardian. You could receive any number of Guardians at different rarities, including several 5-star Guardians or none depending on the luck you had when opening your crystals.
There is a chance that you can receive the same Guardian when opening multiple crystals, but this would be a random occurrence. Because the Guardians you receive are random, you may have moments of bad luck and fantastic luck at receiving the Guardians you want.
“My account must have separate drop rates because other people have better luck than I do.”
We strongly believe in keeping Disney Mirrorverse fair for all of our players, and as such:
- There are no specific crystal odds for individuals.
- Crystal odds are not affected by how much real-world currency is spent on the game.
- Specific Guardians do not have higher crystal odds than any other Guardian unless otherwise noted in the crystal odds.
“My account must be broken.”
Bad luck is possible, but it does not mean your account is not functioning correctly. The Guardians you receive from crystals are random. All players have the same chance to receive any of the Guardians available from any crystal. We do not alter crystal odds on individual accounts, and Kabam Support cannot alter the drop rates. We are unable to offer compensation for bad luck.
