Transactions may get grouped together by iTunes. Any given charge may include your most recent purchase plus previous purchases you have made through iTunes. As a result, it is possible for a single charge to come from multiple days of purchases and from multiple different apps. This does not mean that you were charged multiple times for the purchase. It will just display as one single payment in your payment history.
In the above screenshot, we can see a pending transaction next to the arrow labeled 1. iTunes will continue to collect purchases into the pending section without charging you until a few days have passed and then charge you for everything pending in a single combined charge. Additionally, a purchase may go into pending while all the previously pending purchases get charged.
When iTunes sends a purchase receipt, the date on the purchase invoice is NOT always the actual purchase date. It is only the date on which iTunes charged your payment method. You will need to check your iTunes purchase history under your iTunes account to view your purchase date by opening the bundle. You can review how to retrieve your purchase history in Apple’s How Do I See My App Store Purchase History? article.
Once you access your purchase history, you will need to find the bundled charge that contains the purchase by looking for the date the bundle was charged on. You can see the date above each bundle in the same place the pending designation is located. A sample is labeled 2 in the above screenshot.
From there, to locate the dates for each purchase in a bundle, you will need to tap the “” icon (labeled 3 in the above screenshot) next to the total bundled charge. This will load a page with all bundled purchases from that particular charge or that are currently pending. On this new page, illustrated in the screenshot below, you will find the purchase date below the purchase. Where to look has been circled in red.
If you still have an issue after locating the purchase information, please submit a ticket with a screenshot of the proof of purchase displaying the purchase date and a description of the issue at hand so that we can investigate.
