You can take a picture of your phone or tablet's screen. The image is called a screenshot. After you capture your screen, you can view, edit, and share the image from your mobile device.
Taking a good screenshot can help Kabam Support to effectively identify your issue. You can attach a screenshot to your case by following these steps:
- Tap on the Choose File button.
- Select your Photo Library (iOS) or My Files (Android) option.
- Choose the screenshot that you wish to attach from your folders.
- The maximum file size limit is 20MB per attachment.
How to Take a Screenshot on Your Device
On an iPhone X or later
- Press and hold the side button on the right side of your iPhone.
- Immediately click the volume up button on the left side, then release the buttons.
- A thumbnail of your screenshot appears in the lower-left corner of your iPhone. Tap the thumbnail to add drawings and text with Markup, or press and hold the thumbnail to share the screenshot. Swipe left on the thumbnail to save and dismiss it.
On an iPad Pro 11-inch and iPad Pro 12.9-inch
- Press and hold the top button and immediately click the volume up button, then release both buttons.
- Tap the thumbnail to add drawings and text with markup, or press and hold the thumbnail to share the screenshot. Swipe left on the thumbnail to save and dismiss it.
On iPhone 8 or earlier, iPad, and iPod touch
- Press and hold the top or side button.
- Immediately click the home button, then release the top or side buttons.
- A thumbnail of your screenshot appears in the lower-left corner of your device. Tap the thumbnail to add drawings and text with markup, or press and hold the thumbnail to share the screenshot. Swipe left on the thumbnail to save and dismiss it.
To find the screenshot you just took, along with ones you have taken before, go to Photos > Albums folder and tap the Screenshots selection.
Take a screenshot
- Open the screen that you want to capture.
- Press the power button for a few seconds. Then tap the Screenshot option.
- If that does not work, press and hold the power and volume down buttons at the same time for a few seconds.
- Your device will take a picture of the screen and save it.
- At the top of the screen, you will see the screenshot capture icon.
Tip: If you do not see the screenshot capture icon, return to a home screen to see it.
View your screenshot
To see the screenshot you just took
- Swipe down from the top of a screen with the screenshot capture icon.
- Tap the Screenshot saved notification.
To see all your screenshots
- Open your device's Photos app .
- Tap the menu icon.
- Tap on the Device folders option and then on the Screenshots folder.
Note: If you do not have the Photos app, you are likely running an older Android version. Open your device's gallery app, then the album view, and then the screenshots folder.
Share your screenshot
To share a screenshot, view it, and tap the share icon.
What Types of Screenshots Are Useful
Here are the general rules you should follow when taking a screenshot to illustrate your case.
What to Do:
- Clearly illustrate the reported issue: If you are reporting issues with your game like "the display of an icon is off" or "my characters are falling through the floor,” make sure that your screenshot contains an example of these issues. This will help us report the bug to our developers and help them reproduce the issue.
- Make sure that the description in your case also contains as much information as possible, including but not limited to:
- Date and time that the issue occurred
- Type and amount of items or character(s) affected
- Steps you took to get to the issue that occurred
It is important to establish when a screenshot is actually useful at illustrating the bug you are trying to report. Make sure that the screenshot:
- Contains an example of the bug that you are reporting
- Complements the text describing the issue
- Is fully described in the text. For example: “in the attached screenshot you can see what I get every time I tap on the button.”
Reports of violations against our Terms of Service should include the following info:
- Player/alliance name
- Action against our Terms of Service
- Dates and times, if possible
What Not to Do:
Try to avoid screenshots that will only cause confusion. Here are some examples:
- A screenshot of your inventory showing that it does NOT contain a reported item
- A screenshot related to another player (if the report is not linked to a Terms of Service violation)
- Any screenshot taken outside of the official Kabam, iOS or Android, application
- An image that is not related to the issue
