My Game Crashed While I Was Opening a Crystal
Your items are not lost and are waiting for you whenever you log in! Your game is connected to our servers, and everything you do in the game is recorded and protected within the game’s data. When you open a crystal on your device, the action simultaneously occurs on our servers. This means that the information about your crystal and the items you receive are recorded.
This system ensures that the crystal spin is safe from crashes and other technical issues that might affect your device.
If your device crashed while you were opening a crystal, log back into the game and check your inventory, Champions, and stash to see your new Champions and items. If you are unsure about which items you received, please contact Kabam Support to request that information.
My Game Crashed in the Middle of a Fight
If you reconnect to the game within 10 minutes of a crash or disconnection, you may see a fight-recovery screen and be able to resume the fight where you left off.
This feature is only available in certain game modes. See the lists below to determine whether or not a game mode has a fight-recovery system:
Fight Recovery is available In:
- Arenas
- Special event quests
- Duels
Fairness in The Contest is paramount, so the fight-recovery feature will only trigger once every two hours. If another crash occurs during the two-hour cooldown period, then your Champion will take damage as if you quit the fight. Subsequent crashes within that window mean your Champion suffers damage as if they quit the fight. This safeguard prevents abuse and ensures a level playing field for all competitors.
Fight-Recovery is not available in:
- Story quests
- Daily catalyst quests
- Alliance quests
- Alliance wars
My Game Is Constantly Crashing
We understand how frustrating crashes can be, especially when you have invested time and resources. That's why we take this issue very seriously and are constantly working to improve the game's stability.
However, it's important to note that frequent crashing, freezing, and restarting are often symptoms of a software or app issue on your device, not the game itself. It may mean that your device needs some cleanup. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and improve your gaming experience:

- Make sure you have enough free memory to run the game smoothly. Close any unnecessary apps running in the background and consider restarting your device regularly to clear cached data.

Clear out unused apps and files
- Free up storage space on your device. Delete unused apps, photos, videos, or other files to ensure the game has enough space to run efficiently.

Update your device and The Contest
- Keep your device's operating system and the game up-to-date with the latest versions. This often includes bug fixes and performance improvements.
