Selling Champions
As of May 3, 2021, Champions can no longer be sold. The ability to sell Champions was determined to be a detriment for the long-term growth of players’ rosters and negatively affect progression.
With content like Back Issues, where the depth of a player’s roster is often a key to success, selling Champions early can put that player in a troubling spot later. This is just one of a few examples of how selling Champions can negatively affect a Summoner.
We intend to add more content where players will need a diverse roster, including Champions of 1- to 4-stars. This will provide gameplay opportunities for lower-star Champions so they do not remain unused.
