Seasoned veterans and new players can explore the Mirrorverse through various avenues. Players can progress through and interact with different game modes and features including alliance missions, story quests, event encounters, supply runs, dungeons, and tower encounters.
Alliance Missions
Players can help their alliance to earn rewards by completing content in the game and earning points on alliance missions. You can view alliance missions on the ALLIANCES screen by tapping on the MISSIONS tab.
New alliance missions are available for players to complete each week and will award Laurels for reaching certain milestones or ranks. You use Laurels to purchase exclusive items from the Laurel store.
Laurel Store
The Laurel store offers difficult-to-obtain items, level-up materials, and Guardians in exchange for Laurels. You cannot use any other type of currency in the game to make purchases in this store. You can view how many Laurels you have at the top of your screen when viewing the Laurel store and in the ITEMS section on the GUARDIANS screen. You can only earn Laurels by participating in alliance missions.
Competitive and Cooperative Missions
Alliance missions can be competitive or cooperative. In competitive alliance events, every member who contributed the minimum amount of alliance points to the event and has been in the alliance for more than five consecutive days will receive any rank rewards they qualify for. In cooperative alliance events, rewards are given individually based on your contributor rank within the alliance for the event.
Several different alliance missions may be available. In competitive missions, alliances can compete to achieve the highest rank and the top prizes. Individual players can also earn points for playing cooperatively with their alliance members. Points can be rewarded for completing dungeon objectives, different role missions in non-dungeon encounters, defeating enemies of certain roles, and opening Stellar Crystals and Famed Crystals.
Your contributions to your alliance’s overall score are measured by how many milestones you and your alliance members complete and will determine the leaderboard ranking earned by you and by your alliance. To view the ranking of your alliance’s top contributors:
- From the ALLIANCE screen, select a current or completed event in the MISSIONS section.
- Tap the CONTRIBUTIONS button in the ALLIANCE POINTS area.
Your alliance’s final rank is determined once an event has been completed.
To view rankings for the top 200 alliances for a completed event:
- Select an event from the COMPLETED tab.
- Tap the CONTRIBUTIONS button in the ALLIANCE POINTS area.
- Select the GLOBAL tab to see the ranks.
Modes of Play
The Mode Select screen can be easily accessed from the home screen by tapping on the PLAY icon.
Story Quests
Guardians are the stars of the story quests. They are defenders of the Mirrorverse, and progressing the story through quests allows the player to journey into the Mirrorverse alongside the exciting personalities and adventures of the Guardians. Story quests have three difficulty options: normal, hard, or expert. The selected difficulty will determine how challenging the foes will be for your Guardians but will not impact the story itself. Story quests are divided into several chapters, each filled with 10 base encounters. Story chapters may also have additional encounters with team restrictions that require certain Guardians to complete. You cannot move on to the story's next chapter until you have completed all 10 base encounters for the current chapter. The further into the story your Guardians travel, the tougher their opponents become.
Event Quests
These are event encounters that are available for a limited time and offer exclusive, valuable rewards for participants. Events are designed with a theme and focus on specific Guardians.
Supply Runs
Supply runs provide players with materials that can be used to upgrade their Guardians and improve their power and attributes.
Role-specific experience encounters offer role-specific XP motes. Encounters 1-1 through 1-3 provide minor XP motes, encounters 2-1 through 2-5 provide major XP motes, and encounters 3-1 through 3-5 provide superior XP motes. There is no limit to how many times you can play the first encounter of each row as long as you have the energy. You can play each higher-level encounter 20 times a day, and encounters can be auto-played after completing all of the objectives of an encounter once. These encounters are always available and never rotate to different roles. You can play Melee, Ranged, Support, and Tank role encounters every day.
Gem-specific gathering encounters are time-limited quests that cycle weekly and provide different gems each day. Like experience encounters, you must complete all objectives once before the encounters can be auto-played. There are five encounters available to complete for each gem type. These encounters increase in difficulty and offer different amounts or different tiers of gem shards. The first encounter provides tier one gems. There is no limit to how many times you can play this encounter as long as you have the energy. The higher-level encounters can be played five times per day and reward either tier two gem shards or tier three gem shards in different amounts, depending on their difficulty.
You can run Gold Mining quests to collect Gold. There are five encounters. Each can be played 10 times per day, except for the first encounter, which you can play anytime as long as you have the energy. Each encounter awards more Gold as its difficulty increases.
Dangerous Dungeons
Many factors make dungeons a unique area in the Mirrorverse. The dungeons are dark and overrun by Stellar Fog, which hinders visibility around the map and encourages exploration for Artifacts and Chests of Chance. Progress in the dungeons is measured by points collected that are obtained in Artifacts. A circuit of floors must be navigated through to reach the final floor, and a dungeon is only considered completed once the boss on the final floor has been defeated.
Your Guardians will not automatically heal at the end of an encounter while they are exploring the dungeon's map and may require dungeon potions to increase their health or dungeon revives to restore downed Guardians. Dungeon energy is used to move around the map in the dungeon events. Your dungeon energy can be viewed at the top of the screen beside the red lightning bolt icon. Dungeon energy will replenish at a rate of 40 per day, but each new event resets the previous dungeon energy balance and starts the player off with 80 dungeon energy. You can earn dungeon energy daily by opening Chests of Chance or by purchasing dungeon energy bundles from the Dungeon Store during dungeon events.
As you move through the dungeons, you will find Artifacts and Chests of Chance. Collecting Artifacts will reward points when you reach a floor’s exit. Dungeon Artifacts provide different points depending on the difficulty of the dungeon. Yellow and blue Artifacts are available in normal- and hard-level difficulties. Red, yellow, and blue Artifacts are available in the expert- and master-level difficulties.
Chests of Chance may have different items as rewards, produce floor-changing effects like teleporting you to a random node on the map or provide your Guardians with buffs. You must find and defeat the boss on the final floor to complete the dungeon.
Each dungeon event will have rules and restrictions that apply only to that specific event. The rules and restrictions for the active event will be prominently displayed before you enter the dungeons event screen.
Once on the event screen, you will automatically be under the DETAILS tab and able to see information about the event structure. You can see your progress toward rank or milestone rewards by tapping the EVENT REWARDS button and the top 200 players participating in the event by tapping the LEADERBOARD button.
Once you enter a dungeon, you can determine the difficulty of the map and encounters within the dungeons. The difficulty modifier for dungeons are:
- Normal 1 through Normal 4
- Hard 1 through Hard 4
- Expert 1 through Expert 5
- Master 1 through Master 5
The higher the event’s difficulty level, the tougher the map will be, and the more points you will earn. The information displayed on the event screen, such as the number of floors and the size of the floor, will adjust based on the level of difficulty you choose for the event. As you increase the difficulty of a dungeon, the recommended power of your Guardians will increase as well as the maximum points available.
Special event dungeons can have bonus Guardians or restrictions based on traits. By using a bonus Guardian, you can earn more points from every Artifact collected.
Dungeon Store
The Dungeon Store accepts Orbs as currency, and items in the Dungeon Store are only available in bundles. Each bundle contains Gold, dungeon energy, and dungeon potions. Some bundles also include Dungeon Revives, Dowsing Wands that can be used for teleportation to an Artifact, T1 and T2 Invisibility Scrolls, and Magical Maps that will clear all the Stellar Fog from the current floor.
Tower of Talents
Tower quests are timed encounters that can be completed using Guardians with specific traits. Each tower has 30 floors. The higher in the tower that your Guardian teams climb, the more challenging the encounters become, and the more substantial the potential rewards grow. To progress, you must complete the current floor so that the next floor will unlock. Restrictions and challenges for your Guardians will also increase as you explore the upper floors.
Each floor can be completed once per day as long as the tower is active. Rewards are earned for completing different objectives and can include Gold, Common Books of Knowledge, Uncommon Books of Practice, as well common, uncommon, rare, and epic pages of knowledge, pages of experience, or pages of practice. The one-, two-, and three-star objective rewards earned for completing a floor can only be earned once, though the floors can be completed again to earn book pages.
